Chowking’s halo-halo is consists of ube ice cream, macapuno, ube halaya, leche flan, sweetened bananas, pandan jelly, sago, mongo, yellow beans, nata de coco, pinipig, sweet milk and shaved ice, all perfect on a warm sunny day.

How Chowking started:

In 1985, Robert Kuan, the founder of Chowking, open the first-ever store in Rotary Arcade Makati. 

Chowking expanded its market share and opened its first franchise and provincial store in Meycauayan, Bulacan in 1989. After a year, they began their delivery operations and they hit an annual sale of ₱1M. 

By the year 1996, Chowking opened their 100th store located in San Joaquin, Pasig. This time, their annual sales reached ₱1B. The next year, they opened their first-ever store in California, USA. 

By the year 2000, Chowking officially became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jollibee Foods Corporation. 

As of now, Chowking is successfully operating in the Philippines and many other countries including the US, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, and Indonesia, wherein Chowking became one of the first restaurants to become Halal-certified. 

Chowking’s number of customers grew as a result of their excellence in serving the people with their great local tastes and culture.
