Mang Inasal is one of the leading Filipino branded outlets in the country. After its acquisition, the branch has grown steadily, making Mang Inasal one of the fastest-growing quick-service restaurants in the Philippines. Mang Inasal now has over 450 stores nation wide and still counting.
The Filipino restaurant serves its famous Chicken Inasal, the juicy Pork BBQ, its various Halo-Halo desserts, and the classic Filipino dish, Palabok. Mang Inasal is also famous for its unli-rice and soup, and who could forget their chicken oil that sits side by side with the soy sauce and white vinegar.
From the variety of Filipino fast food that Mang Inasal has to offer, here are five of the most popular items on their menu:
Our Top 5 Favorite Mang Inasal Menu Items:
1. Chicken Inasal
The Chicken Inasal is Mang Inasal’s main food item and it’s also their best seller. The restaurant became famous for its perfectly grilled chicken marinated with local secret spices. The “inasal na manok” with its distinct taste that Filipino grew to love is available to get in 1 Rice for ₱105.00 or Unli Rice for ₱120.00.
2. Pork BBQ
Mang Inasal’s Pork BBQ is another must-try food item on their menu. For only ₱99.00, you can get two sticks of the savory hot-off-the-grill pork barbecue partnered with rice and a drink.
3. Halo-Halo
This classic Filipino dessert is made even special by Mang Inasal. Instead of just the usual Halo-Halo dessert, the restaurant offered two more delicious choices: Creme de Leche and Buko Pandan. With the sweltering heat in the country, one can never go wrong by ordering a bowl (or two!) of Mang Inasal’s Halo-Halo.
4. Palabok
Another Filipino favorite, Palabok is a noodle dish that is “proudly Pinoy.” Mang Inasal serves their Palabok in a thick rich sauce and seasons it with chopped spring onions, tinapa, chicharon bits, meaty pork, and hard-boiled egg slices. You can get this with a drink for only ₱65.00.
5. Sisig
This delectable grilled & sautéed meaty dish topped with chicharon, sliced red & finger chili, diced onion, and a special dressing comes in two choices: Pork and Bangus which you can get together with a drink for only ₱99.00 and ₱114.00, respectively.

How Mang Inasal started:
It all started in December 2003 when Edgar “Injap” Sia, grabbed the opportunity to lease a 250 square meter space at the Robinson’s Mall Carpark-Iloilo. It was then that Mang Inasal was born. Mr. Sia followed his instincts and took risks with his growing business knowing that a Filipino barbeque quick-service restaurant has the potential to grow.
The restaurant became an instant success. In just three years, they had almost thirty branches in operation. By 2005, Mang Inasal had been opened for franchising, concentrating in the Visayas and Mindanao region where it is most popular. Franchise offers for Luzon immediately followed after.
Just six years after the first branch of Mang Inasal opened, the brand already had a store network of 100 stores and it soon gained the attention of the largest food service company in the Philippines, Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC), and in April 2016 100% of the shares of Mang Inasal was acquired.
